A few more finished projects

I spent the entire day in the studio and finally finished some more critters. I sent in my paper work for the local Craft Show and I am excited to be doing my first ever show. My kids all got a little crazy this evening and the drama was at an all time high, so I think I will take tomorrow off and get some cleaning done and spend a little quality time with the kids. As for tonight, I am not sure if I will settle down with a good read or a movie. I'm glad the night is coming to an end and so is homecoming week. My son will be marching in band again this weekend so we will be out of town, but maybe, that is a good thing. It's always nice to get away from the house for a day or two.
I just love this happy little elf and his hand full of sweets.

Alright, I know these fellows are in the wrong season, but I just love their happy spring faces.
Thanks for stopping by,
Rhonda

Holidays around the corner

Fall has begun to set in and I am in full gear working on projects and trying to keep up with the mess in the studio. Just getting to post some of these projects I have been working on lately. These clay figures are headed to a local store for consignment. The weekly challenge thing has not been working out so great. I always have tons of ideas and no time to create. I did get some scrapbooking in last week and have a plan for some paper projects that will be started by the end of the week.

No rest for the overly excited

My two little ones were home sick today. They were up most the night and that meant no sleep for mommy. My husband came home from work and then headed to do some farm work, so I still was not able to get relief from my mommy duties. When the hubby finally came home I headed out to the garage for a little peace and quiet with these babies. I have been sanding away on a few pieces for about a week now, but today I was able to get the compressor going and start the painting (the fun part). What's in the works right now...a coffee table, a set of storage cupboards, an end table, 3 wall shelves, and 3 floating shelves for my mom's bathroom. I am way to excited to get these pieces finished so I can decorate them before the holidays. I did get some clay pieces finished and hope to have those posted tomorrow when there is better lighting.

Oh, by the way the red coffee table in picture 1 is a new purchase for $3. I can hardly wait to get it painted and set up in my living room.

Are you ready for some Football!

Today I did absolutely nothing creative. I read blogs, chatted on facebook, did some dishes, worked at the grocery store, and then went to the high school football game to hear my son play in the band. Typically, you would not find me hanging out at the football games, but really it wasn't all that bad. I did enjoy taking pictures of the game and, so I am sharing a few with all of you. Tomorrow is my oldest daughter's birthday and we are spending the day shopping. Enjoy your weekend!

Table re-do

I spent this afternoon fixing up this sweet little table that sits in my daughters' room. We have had this parlor table for about 8 yrs. and it has made it's way through three little girls and all their tea parties and art projects. The table top is scratched up and covered in marker and no longer looks adorable. I had this Shabby Chic shower curtain in the linen closet and decided to give the table a face lift. I upholstered the chairs and made the table cover in about 2 hrs. This was a quick fix for something that almost made it's way to Goodwill. Until next time, happy creating.

Some WIP

These guys have been starring at me lately, begging me to finish them. I promised them, by the end of the week they would be nicely packaged in their boxes and ready for the craft show in a few weeks. Just wanted to post some before pictures to help motivate me to hold to my word and get them done.

Lucky find

This is not the best picture I have ever taken, but it is dark out right now and I am just to excited about my recent find. I stopped in Goodwill and found this beautiful oil painting on canvas for a whopping $10, I mean seriously, how lucky am I.
